Graduating Students | Applied Psychology
Made it to graduation? Congratulations! Here are the steps you need to take at the beginning of the semester you are graduating.
- Apply for Graduation
- Apply for the Teaching of Psychology Certificate (if applicable)
- At the beginning of the semester the program director will send out an email asking which students plan on graduating this semester - make sure to respond. This allows us to check if all requirements have been met and possibly correct any issues.
- Take the Comprehensive Exam. Graduating students must pass the comprehensive exam. It is taken during the middle of the semester you are graduating. Information will be sent to you. The exam consists of two essays that ask you to apply knowledge you’ve learned while in the program. The best way to prepare is to gather any notes you may have from the classes you’ve taken.
Angelo State has commencement ceremonies during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are not required to participate in commencement. You can find information by visiting the Commencement web site. Students who graduate in the summer have the option to participate in commencement during the fall or spring semesters. Please contact the program director for more information.
