By Saturday, Oct. 16, all District Meet results must be certified by each meet director and emailed to the regional meet director, James Reid, at james.reid@angelo.edu. The deadline for regional entries is Tuesday, Oct. 19, by 5 p.m.
You may enter up to seven (7) athletes. Substitutions are allowed all the way up to and during pre‐race packet pick up. All athletes entered must be certified eligible by UIL rules. Remember that five (5) runners constitutes a team, so to score as a team, you must have five (5) runners complete the race.
Entry fee is $20 per runner for up to seven (7) runners per school. The maximum entry fee will be $140.
Please make checks payable to:
Angelo State UIL
ASU Station #11039
San Angelo, Texas 76909-1039
All fees must be received in full before a school will receive its race packet and its runners will be able to compete.
After Tuesday, Oct. 19, schools should hand deliver fees to Angelo State to ensure they are received on time. Schools or districts that are paying for multiple schools should indicate the name and amount included for each school on the check stub or an attached sheet.
Coaches must register their runners online through Direct Athletics. The district meet results must be certified by Saturday, Oct. 16, but entries are not due until Tuesday, Oct.19.
If you do not already have an account, create one. Under Getting Started, click on Coaches/Athletes, then New users, then Create a Team Account.
Follow the instructions to register a team or individual(s).
Please make certain all names are spelled correctly.
If you have any questions or problems entering your runners, contact the meet director, Tom Dibbern.

The top three (3) teams and the top ten (10) individuals shall qualify from each District Meet to the Regional Meet. An individual qualifier may also be a team member of one of the qualifying teams.
For State: the top four (4) teams and the top ten (10) individuals not on a qualifying team shall qualify from regionals to state.
Substitutions may be made on a team that has qualified for the Regional Meet.
Substitutions are not allowed for a runner who has qualified as an individual.
Substitutions can be made by email prior to Tuesday, Oct. 26. They may also be made during the course preview time or the morning of the race during packet pick-up time.
Teams and individual runners are randomly assigned a box number from which they will stage and start the race. Box numbers will be in your race packets, and they will be painted on the starting line.
Race results will be available online at angelosports.com. “Unofficial” results will be posted on-site and will be considered “final” after a 30-minute protest period.
We will honor all the team and individual award recipients immediately following the boys’ race when all results go “final.”
UIL uniform rules will be strictly enforced.
Each competitor will have an assigned bib number, which includes a “chip” on the bib. Coaches need to make sure each bib is distributed to the correct runner. Do not crush or wrinkle bib numbers, as it might break the timing chip and result in no time.
Ample parking is available in the Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Field baseball stadium parking lot. The lot is accessible from South Jackson Street or University Avenue. There will be designated team parking and spectator parking.
Spectators must stay off the course and out of the start/finish line area so they do not obstruct the competitors. Spectators are not allowed on the race course at any time during the competition. It is a very viewer-friendly course with most of the course visible without moving much.
Only portable restrooms will be available on the course for spectator and participant usage.
Commemorative t‐shirts will be available for purchase at the course.
