Digital Accessibility
We take digital accessibility seriously at Angelo State.
OP 10.25 outlines faculty responsibilities for making digital content accessible in accordance with federal law. But most importantly, we know creating accessible content improves the learning experience for all students.
Accessibility Audits
In the Center for Digital Learning and Instruction, we have trained professionals who can conduct an accessibility audit on your course content and offer guidance and suggestions about where to focus your efforts. Visit our Consultations web page and complete the form. One of our team members will contact you to schedule a meeting.
Digital Accessibility Checklist
Do you prefer the self-help route? Refer to our Digital Accessibility Checklist to check your own course content.
Anthology Ally
Anthology Ally is a machine-generated accessibility checker that evaluates your content based on Web Accessibility Content Guidelines 2.1 AA and assigns a score. It also gives you tips on how to improve your content and generates alternate content formats for students. If you have a question about how Ally works or you are experiencing an error with the tool, contact the Information Technology help desk at 325-942-2911 or itsupport@angelo.edu.
Student Accommodations Questions
If you have questions about students in your courses with registered disabilities, contact the ASU Office of Student Disability Services.
To view students enrolled in your class who are registered with disability accommodations, log in to the Student Disability Services Faculty Portal using your ASU username and password.
