Faculty Learning Commons

Mission

The mission of the Faculty Learning Commons (FLC) is to support and develop faculty members in their role as teachers.

Philosophy

ASU exists so students can learn, grow and succeed. The faculty (individually and collectively) has three roles: teaching, service and scholarship. The FLC’s focus is on teaching.

Goal

The ultimate goal is to enhance student learning by providing a learning community for faculty.

New Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence Partnership

Angelo State University has partnered with Howard College, the San Angelo Independent School District and the 17th Training Group at Goodfellow Air Force Base to create a new Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) program for professional faculty development.

  • Virtual: Respondus Presents LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor
    11:00am - 12:00pm
    LockDown Browser is a custom browser that prevents digital cheating during an online exam. Respondus Monitor is a companion product for LockDown Browser that deters cheating when students take online exams in non- proctored environments. Students use their own computers with a standard webcam to record assessment sessions.
