ASU’s Master Teacher Series is a once-annual event that features the winner and semi-finalists for ASU’s Faculty Excellence in Teaching award. The event is a panel discussion in which each panelist describes something that they are doing in their classrooms that they feel is particularly effective and broadly applicable, then the event opens up for Q&A.

Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Panel Spring 2021:
This event is to promote and disseminate information regarding ASU’s Culturally Responsive Pedagogy training program. The program is offered annually and seeks to provide faculty with background, tools, examples, and best practices of implementing culturally responsive teaching methods in their classrooms. The panelists are ASU faculty members who have previously completed the training and/or acted as a peer-coach for the training. This event highlights the experiences of the panelists as they completed the training and then incorporated the information into their classes. There is time for Q&A at the end.

Mini-grant panel discussion Spring 2021:
This event is to promote and disseminate information regarding the Faculty Learning Commons mini-grant program. The call for grants goes out annually at the beginning of the spring semester. The panelists are previous and current grant awardees. Each panelist describes their grant proposal, their experience operating within the program, and how their project will carry forward into future semesters. In particular, the event is meant to highlight the breadth and variety of funded proposals. There is time for Q&A at the end.
