Nominees
Nominees must be full-time employees in good standing for at least one year prior to the nomination deadline. Past award recipients are not eligible for re-nomination. View past winners.
Nominees will be notified in April by official letter from the university president.
Administrator and Staff winners will be selected based on the following criteria:

Faculty winner will be selected based on the following criteria:

Deadline
Nominations should be submitted by Friday, March 15. Incomplete nominations and nominations received after the posted deadline will not be eligible for the award.
Selection of Winners
Faculty: A committee consisting of the Provost, the academic Deans, the Faculty Senate President and the Student Government Association President will preside over the nominations and selection of the Gary & Pat Rodgers Distinguished Faculty Award.
Staff: A committee consisting of the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Staff Senate President and the Student Government Association President will preside over the nominations and selection of the Gary & Pat Rodgers Distinguished Staff Award.
Administrator: A committee consisting of the Faculty Senate President, the Staff Senate President and the Student Government Association President will preside over the nominations and selection of the Gary and Pat Rodgers Distinguished Administrator Award.
Award Winners and Presentation
The three awards—one for faculty, staff and administrator—will be presented at the annual Angelo State University Awards Ceremony in May. Winners must be current employees at the time of the award presentation.
Award recipients will each receive $2,500 less applicable taxes.
Past award recipients are not eligible for re-nomination.
