Renters Insurance

ASU assumes no liability for damage to or loss of personal property. As such, we strongly encourage students to carry some form of renters insurance so that in the event of theft, accident, vandalism, flood or other incident, their personal property is protected.

While we work closely with our maintenance staff to keep our facilities in appropriate working order, no system is without the possibility of problems. Additionally, while most of our students are well-behaved and respectful of the buildings and their peers, like any community of our size, we are not immune to incidents of vandalism or theft.

If you are interested in obtaining renters insurance, The Consumer Affairs website lists some reputable insurance companies that offer low-cost policies. You may also choose to check with your personal insurance agent or company.
