University Recreation employs over 200 students throughout the school year who are interested in working in a fun and challenging environment.

Lifeguard Qualifications/Duties: Supervise the indoor swimming pool. Current lifeguarding certification preferred, not required. Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends and holidays required.
Water Safety Instructor Qualifications/Duties: Plan, coordinate and teach learn-to-swim and water safety courses Days/Times: Up to 16 hours per week; summer only
Operational Supervisor Qualifications/Duties: Supervise the part-time staff personnel and uphold all facility rules and guidelines. At least one year of UREC employment is preferred. Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends and holidays required
Welcome Desk Attendant Qualifications/Duties: Provide a welcoming environment to Ben Kelly CHP patrons and dispense athletic equipment to patrons. Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends and holidays required
Group Fitness Instructor Qualifications/Duties: Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading participants through safe and effective fitness classes; certifications are preferred but not required. Certification training will be provided. Days/Times: 5-10 hours per week; some weekends required
Weight Room Supervisor Qualifications/Duties: The Weight Room Staff is responsible for ensuring the safety of participants and maintenance of equipment through vigilant supervision of the facility. Days/Times: 10-20 hours per week; some weekends required
Supervisor Qualifications/Duties: The Intramural Supervisor is responsible for on-site supervision of intramural sports. Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends required
Intramural Sports Official Qualifications/Duties: The officials are to enforce the rules of the governing body of each individual major sport. Training schedule Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends required
Camp Instructor Qualifications/Duties: Camp UREC Instructors will work directly with children by organizing and supervising general activities or specialize in teaching campers topics such as basketball, soccer, softball, football and volleyball. Days/Times: 20 hours per week
Adventure Education Instructor Qualifications/Duties: Open Lake House Facility for general-use hours, instruct clinics and team building events, assist participants in the climbing gym and with OA related equipment check out. Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends and holidays required
Adventure Education Supervisor Qualifications/Duties: Assist participants in climbing gym area and supervise staff. Days/Times: 20 hours per week; some weekends and holidays required
Office Assistant (WORK-STUDY ONLY) Qualifications/Duties: General office duties Days/Times: 20 hours per week
Graduate Assistant positions provide graduate students with an excellent opportunity to become a practitioner within the recreation industry. An assistantship within UREC helps equip the employee with tools and experiences that may be relevant in any industry.
