Save a Life with Suicide Prevention Training

Question. Persuade. Refer. (QPR) Three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among Americans aged 10-24. According to Active Minds, there are over 1,100 suicides by college students every year, and half of college students have suicidal thoughts at some point.

Counseling Services invites all ASU students, faculty and staff to attend this important training. Due to the sensitive nature of this topic, this will be an in-person event only.

Participants will learn:

  • How to identify warning signs of suicide
  • Skills to increase competence in having difficult conversations about concerning behaviors
  • How to use your influence to promote individuals to get help
  • About the available mental health resources
