Guest Artist Recital: Dr. Tim Angel, Violin

Join us for this special event with Dr. Tim Angel, accompanied by the renowned concert pianist and instructor, Kate Stevens.

For the recital at ASU, Dr. Angel will be showcasing a wide variety of music in this program, including:

  • Mozart’s E minor Violin Sonata
  • Oshima’s Memories
  • Kreisler’s Caprice Viennois
  • Bach’s Solo Violin Sonata in G minor
  • Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy.

Dr. Angel will be accompanied by the renowned concert pianist and instructor, Kate Stevens. On the day after the recital, Dr. Angel will host a workshop with ASU Music students.

About the Artist

Violinist Dr. Timothy Angel is an avid performer in the Dallas Fort Worth area, a violin and viola lecturer at the University of Texas at Arlington, and founder and primary violin instructor at the Arlington Suzuki Music School in Arlington, Texas. Most recently, Dr. Angel started performing regularly with the Timeless Concerts series in Arlington, TX and has given a number of recitals and solo performances throughout the United States. Recent orchestral solo performances in the include Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto no. 1 and Mozart’s Symphonia Concertante.
