Eating Disorder Prevention Training

Tuesday, February 22, 2022 10:00am - 12:00pm Free
Join us for hybrid training designed to bring awareness to eating disorders and prevention strategies.

Eating disorders are prevalent on college campuses with 20%-67% of students experiencing symptoms of eating disorders (Lipson and Sonneville, 2017), and 30% of students who visit ASU Counseling Services cite eating concerns or body image as a reason for therapy.

All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend a presentation on eating disorder prevention by Dinah Cummings, Ph.D., Associate Professor/Regional Director of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health.

Participants will learn:

  • Eating Disorder Criteria
  • Prevention Strategies
  • Resources and Treatment Options
  • cHow to help someone who is struggling

Attend in person or virtually.  For those unable to attend, the session will be recorded.
