Brown Bag Training: Creating Accessible Content for Social Media and Beyond!

Thursday, July 28, 2022 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Free
Mark your calendars and make plans to join us on July 28 as we learn more about creating accessible content for social media and beyond.

This session is a round-table conversation that discusses best practices associated with social media and email communication.

With the Section 508 laws that took effect in Jan. 2018, it is important for us to ensure we are following accessibility standards set by these rules. We will be discussing accessibility, and how you can ensure all users who come into contact with any of your digital communication (yes, even social media) receive the same experience. ADA compliance extends beyond the classroom and we want everyone to be able to interact with your digital content.

We encourage anyone who manages departments’ social media accounts to attend. If you communicate with students via social media or email, this session is for you! Students, faculty and staff are all welcome to join us.

We will provide a nacho bar with dessert and drinks.

Let us know in the comments field below if you are interested in other accessibility topics.
