The Lone Star Lecture Series: The Myth of the Mexican Nemesis in the 20th Century

The Lone Star Lecture Series hosts outside scholars of Texas history to deliver a keynote address coinciding with the anniversary of Texas Independence in March of each year.

Dr. Miguel Levario Dr. Levario’s talk will explore the history of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands to better understand the paradoxical position of static and fluidity. Moreover, the address will examine how the borderlands and its inhabitants have been seen as a threat to the rigid notions of government power and citizenship.
