Colleague-to-Colleague Tech Talk: Strategies for Checking in With Students

Friday, March 24, 2023 2 - 3 p.m.

Join us for this Colleague-to-Colleague Tech Talk featuring three faculty from the College of Science and Engineering.

Each presenter will discuss strategies they use to touch base with students throughout the semester. They will tell us why checking in with students is important for them and how it improves their teacher effectiveness. They will also share some examples of how they gather information from students and what they do with that information.

You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and maybe even get inspiration to try something new in your own classes.

We are offering this Tech Talk in person with an option to join virtually. Snacks will be provided for face-to-face attendees.

Presenters

  • Ms. Carla Ebeling, Biology
  • Ms. Codi Jaynes, Mathematics
  • Dr. Jesse Taylor, Mathematics
