Virtual: Online Foundational Practices Training

  • Monday, September 23, 2024 - Sunday, September 29, 2024
  • Virtual
  • Free

In this faculty professional development training, you will explore key principles and strategies for designing and delivering effective online instruction.

Through a series of four modules, participants will delve into essential topics such as course alignment and mapping, providing effective feedback, fostering community and engagement, and creating digital content with accessibility in mind.

In each module, faculty read or view material that will assist them in learning foundational elements and online course tools that support best practices.

The time commitment for this seven-day training will vary based on each participant’s engagement and approach towards the training. It is asynchronous in nature, and you can complete the assignments at any time during that seven-day period. We do, however, encourage participants to get in early and often to participate with their colleagues.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Evaluate student engagement strategies to select the options most appropriate for your course.
  • Recognize the importance of Design and Alignment through strategy.
