Network Services Tech Employment Application

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide design, installation, project coordination, and technical support for network (LAN/WAN) and telecommunications (phone, video conference, etc) services and associated hardware and software systems to support University applications and systems.
  • Configuration and installation of network components including, but not limited to: switches, routers, telephones, wireless access points, and various other communication technologies.
  • Troubleshooting tier 1 network issues in assistance to desktop technicians and full time staff.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation of campus networked environment.
  • Should have a thorough background in PC maintenance and trouble shooting and exhibit a high level of problem solving capability.
  • Experience in a networked environment, Linux, and Cisco IOS are pluses but not required.
