The Agriculture Department’s student Wool Judging Team claimed the 2017 Collegiate National Championship by placing first at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Collegiate Wool Judging Contest in March.
The ASU team of Morgan McCullough of Eden, Maggie Louton of Helotes, Lexi Carroll of Krum, Bailey Hooten of Wall, Ty Mitchell of Palmer, Tate Schwartz of Wall, Destiny Cowley of Floresville, and Mikhaila Barnett of Lometa also took first place at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Contest in February and was named the 2017 Collegiate National Champion by virtue of winning two of the three contests that made up the 2017 judging season.
