Brenna Hudson – I Chose Angelo State
Why did you choose to attend ASU?
Both of my parents are ASU alumni, so I already knew a lot about the university even before it was time for me to decide where I wanted to go to college. I knew that ASU would be on the top of my list because of the visits I had taken with my parents. They brought me to Discover ASU, and I fell in love with the campus, the people and the community. I knew that ASU would be the perfect fit for me.
Which professor has had the biggest impact on you?
I have had so many amazing professors, from all different departments, who have greatly impacted my life and my education. They include Dr. Kanisorn Wongsrichanalai, Dr. Laurel Fohn, Dr. Doris McCabe, Dr. Kathleen Price, Dr. Michael Burt and Mr. Manny Campos. Each has had a unique impact on me, and I will always be grateful for the work they do and the time they put in to helping their students be successful.
What has been your favorite hangout on campus?
I have spent a lot of time in the Honors Lounge in the library. It is a great place for me to study and hang out with my friends, when I have the time.
What has been your most memorable ASU experience?
It has to be the first football game that I got to dance at as an Angelette. It was such an amazing feeling, being out on the field and on the sidelines. I have always loved dancing. I started when I was three years old, and I am so glad that I got to continue dancing in college. That first game was such a rush, and I will remember that forever.
What is your favorite thing about ASU?
The people! Everyone is so nice and caring, and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing community to grow in academically and personally. The students here are so driven towards their goals, and the faculty are dedicated to helping them be successful.
It will be the best decision you ever make. You will gain lifelong friends and amazing mentors, and get a quality education. There are so many opportunities here at ASU, and there are so many people here who will help you reach your goals and set new ones.
Are you glad you chose ASU?
Absolutely! I would not change my decision for the world. All my success can be attributed to the wonderful choice I made to come to ASU. I have accomplished more than I could ever have imagined, I have made the best friends that anyone could ever hope for, and I know that I am prepared to take on the next step in my journey, physical therapy school, because I came to Angelo State University.
