Students Take Part in 2018 ESMOAS Conference

Nine students represented Angelo State University at the 22nd Eugene Scassa Mock Organization of American States (ESMOAS) Conference Nov. 1-3 at Texas State University in San Marcos.
The theme of this year’s conference was “International Relations and the Future of the Global Community.” Representing the countries of Chile and Grenada, the ASU students debated resolutions, practiced diplomacy and participated in crises scenarios.

Formed in 1948, the OAS was established to achieve an order of peace and justice among its member states, promote their solidarity, strengthen their collaboration, and defend their sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence. Its membership consists of all 35 independent states of the Americas.
