On Saturday, November 10th, an Angelo State team competed in the South Central USA Regional of the 2018 International Collegiate Programming Contest at UTSA (one of four sites in the regional) in San Antonio, Texas, and they made ASU’s best showing in the ACM contest since 2010.
The ASU team solved three problems perfectly, matching the all-regional median. In the regional standings, ASU finished ahead of teams from schools such as OU, LSU, UTD, Southwestern, Texas State and Trinity.
The “Download More RAMs” team consisted of ASU students Eric Johnson, Zach Nadeau and Ethan Clark; Drew Davis and Chandler Mauldin served as reserves. The team was coached by faculty sponsor Rob LeGrand.
Now you can try your hand at the contest problems! Take a look at the list of problems and submit your program to solve one; it will be automatically graded by the same Kattis system used at the regional contest. Kattis also has many practice problems you can try!
