June 20, 2019

Several undergraduate and graduate nursing degree programs offered through Angelo State University’s Archer College of Health and Human Services have been ranked among the best and most affordable in the nation for 2019 by multiple higher education resource guides.
For graduate nursing students, ASU offers an online Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree program with two specialization options. The M.S.N.-Family Nurse Practitioner program is for nurses with a B.S.N. who wish to become advanced family practice nurses. The M.S.N.-Nurse Educator program is for nurses with a B.S.N. who wish to teach nursing at the college level and/or at health care institutions.
ASU’s online M.S.N. programs have been ranked No. 2 in the U.S. among the “Top 15 Most Affordable Nurse Practitioner Programs with Specializations” by the BestCollegesOnline.org resource guide.
More specifically, ASU’s online M.S.N.-FNP program received multiple national rankings, including:
- BestMedicalDegrees.com – No. 2 among the “30 Best Value Family Nurse Practitioner Online Programs”
- RegisteredNursing.org – No. 10 among the “Best FNP Graduate Certificate Programs”
Each of the higher education guides formulates its rankings using similar criteria, including accreditation, academic quality, tuition costs, faculty credentials, student-to-faculty ratio, and available online learning technology.
All of ASU’s online and on-campus B.S.N. and M.S.N. degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-679, http://www.ccneaccreditation.org/ (CCNE) and approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.
