How did you learn about ASU?

I originally learned about ASU way back when I was in high school in 2005 through our guidance counselor. I heard a few of my classmates were coming, so I figured I would come to check it out.

Why did you want to attend ASU?

When I originally toured ASU, I fell in love with the campus size. It felt like home to me, more than any other campus. It was also highly regarded in the multiple fields I was considering at the time.

What is your favorite thing about ASU?

I love the community feeling. Being so far away from my family can be hard, but ASU is just the right size that gives you the feeling that everyone could be your family.

What are some of your hobbies?

I love to watch live sports and of course all of the teams ASU has to offer! I enjoy video games and playing with my dog, really anything to decompress from the school day.

Are you involved in any student organizations?

Yes, I am a proud ASU Vet.

Do you work on campus? If so, where and what are your responsibilities?

I currently work for the Special Events setup team on campus at the UC. My team members and I are in charge of setting up and tearing down any events happening in the UC throughout the week. We also assist in running some of the events.

What is one piece of advice you would give to help college students succeed?

Make the most of your time here. Take that class, attend that concert, cheer for that team. Don’t get stuck in the endless cycle of homework and class all the time. Make sure you make time for experiences. We are only here for a short time, make it memorable.
