2022 Outstanding Graduate Students

Angelo State University honored its 2022 Outstanding Graduate Students, as well as the recipients of four superlative awards, during the annual Graduate Research Symposium and Awards Ceremony on April 29 in the Houston Harte University Center.
The Outstanding Graduate Students for the College of Arts and Humanities, listed by their hometown and major, are:
- Jan Chitsey of San Angelo – communication
- 1st Dennis Tyukayev of Sacramento, Calif. – global security studies
- Christian Ferguson of Dusseldorf, Germany – intelligence and analysis
- Ashlee Havlak of Miles – English
Norris-Vincent College of Business honorees are:
- Gabriel Hidalgo Marquez of Barquisimeto, Venezuela – business administration
- Daniel Dixon of San Angelo – professional accountancy
Honorees for the College of Education are:
- Allison Camp of Dallas – mental health and wellness counseling
- Carmen McIver of Sanford, N.C. – student development and leadership in higher education
- Hannah Godfrey of Miles – educational administration
- Darcy Cauley of San Angelo – educational leadership
- Stephanie Stevens of San Angelo – curriculum and instruction-advanced instructor
- Joshua Truitt of Houston – professional school counseling
Archer College of Health and Human Services honorees are:
- Nicole Smith of Kerrville – family nurse practitioner
- Sarah McKinnon of Lockney – nurse educator
- Selina Yamane Woodham of Otsu, Japan – physical therapy
- Tom Toalston of Tampa, Fla. – coaching, sport, recreation and fitness administration
- Anna Schneemann of San Angelo – counseling psychology
- Mya Rodriguez of Mission – experimental psychology
- Noah Holle of Bakersfield, Calif. – applied psychology
Honorees for the College of Science and Engineering are:
- Madonna Bullard of Pharr – agriculture
- Megan Eckhardt of New Braunfels – animal science
- Brittanie Loftin of Lake Charles, La. – biology
Additionally, winners of the four superlative awards were selected from among the Outstanding Graduate Students by a separate committee.
The superlative awards recipients are:
- Daniel Dixon – Academic Excellence
- Capt. Christian Ferguson – Community Service Excellence
- Anna Schneemann – Research Excellence
- 1st Lt. Dennis Tyukayev – Leadership Excellence
ASU graduate students who presented research posters during the Graduate Research Symposium were also recognized.
