ARock Salon SBDC Success Story

Economic Impact

  • Business Expansion
  • Jobs Created: 22

Autumn Brockman opened her salon in 2016 in downtown San Angelo. Working hard, she grew her clientele and the business offerings, and kept her booths full of cosmetologists.

With business so good, Autumn felt it was time to expand even more, and to do that, she would need to move. She secured a location and began remodeling it using her own funds and a line of credit loan.

Because she was changing locations, she would need a new license. And, to make sure she was in compliance with the law for the additional services she wanted to offer, she came to the Angelo State University SBDC for assistance. She worked with Certified Business Advisor James Leavelle to learn all the steps she needed to take to make her move successfully.

“SBDC provided substantial information to get the proper licensing and documentation to make my move.”
