Expanded Transfer Agreement with NSA’s National Cryptologic University

Angelo State University has signed a new articulation agreement with the National Security Agency (NSA) to provide additional educational opportunities for NSA personnel who have completed courses at the agency’s National Cryptologic University (NCUniv).

The new articulation agreement expands and updates the previous agreement signed in August 2018, adding two more ASU degree programs that will accept NCUniv transfer credits from NSA personnel.

Per the new agreement, NSA personnel who complete a prescribed set of NCUniv Spanish courses can now transfer up to 24 credit hours into ASU’s Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish degree program.

Also, NSA personnel who complete a prescribed set of NCUniv Area Studies courses can transfer up to 12 credit hours into ASU’s Master of Science (M.S.) in global security studies degree program.

There are now nine different ASU undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs that will accept NCUniv transfer credits. All of them except the B.A. in Spanish are offered through ASU’s Department of Security Studies and Criminal Justice (SSCJ).
