Qualifications/Duties
Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must be able to pass physical test(s). American Red Cross Lifeguard or Shallow Water Lifeguard certification required. CPR and First Aid certification required. Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred. Ability to perform strenuous duties for extended periods of time. Work in extreme weather conditions. A valid driver license with a good driving record or reliable transportation is required.
Monitor and apply safety guidelines and proper rescue techniques to patrons in the aquatic facility. Administer first aid or CPR according to prescribed procedures and notify emergency medical personnel when necessary. Assist with front desk operation through positive public relations. Perform basic maintenance procedures to assure public safety. Clean blood, urine, and fecal matter from pools, decking, floors, walls, and sinks. Assist in the daily operation of the Municipal Pool including, but not limited to: opening and closing of the facility, assisting guests, providing programming information, and collecting fees. Attend all regularly scheduled training sessions and audits. Other duties as assigned. Work in cooperation with the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager.
Days/Times
Due to COVID-19 precautions, recreation facilities/programming are subject to open and close in accordance with State guidelines.
Schedule could include up to 40 hours per week. Hours will vary, Sunday and Saturday, 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays

$10.00-$12.50/DOQ
