The West Texas Collection Exhibit “Vietnam: Through the Lens” opens in conjunction with other activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
If you visited the West Texas Collection recently, you will most likely have seen our staff working diligently to arrange photographs and artifacts from the Vietnam War in display cases. In addition to the display, the West Texas Collection digitized thousands of photographs and documents shared by the veterans and collaborated with the ASU Honors Program on an oral history project. Students from the Honors Program have conducted over thirty-five interviews to date!
The ASU Friends of the Porter Henderson Library and West Texas Collection are sponsoring the event Vietnam: Through the Lens to honor Concho Valley veterans of the Vietnam War and includes the opening of the exhibit “Vietnam: Through the Lens”. The exhibit will be available for viewing in the West Texas Collection, during business hours, through July 2015. Don’t miss this opportunity to see and learn about the experiences of our local Vietnam veterans.
