Tippett House

  • ASU President's House 19Mar09 Photographer Danny Meyer

Victor P. and Ergeal Tippett deeded their home to ASU in 1970, indicating that the home was given “in admiration for the educational standards” of ASU. The idea for the gift came about during the Tippetts’ long friendship with former President and Mrs. R.M. Cavness. Moving into the home in August 1971, Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd D. Vincent became the first ASU president’s family to occupy the home. Just as it was in the days when the Tippett family resided there, the home today is the scene of numerous social, civic and university-related functions.
