SSgt Andrea Salazar

SSgt Andrea Salazar is the Non-Commissioned Officer as an ROTC Training Instructor (RTI) for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 847 at Angelo State University in San Angelo. She is responsible for managing several areas of administrative support for the detachment and instructing Air Force ROTC curriculum.
SSgt Salazar was born in Danbury, Conn., and raised in Wappingers Falls, N.Y. While living in New York, she earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2015 from SUNY Oneonta. SSgt Salazar enlisted into the Air Force on September 13, 2016. Her first duty base was at the Military Personnel Section in JBSA Randolph Air Force base in San Antonio, where she worked in customer support and force management. It was during her time at the Military Personnel Section when SSgt Salazar made the rank of Staff Sergeant. After three years at the Military Personnel Section, SSgt Salazar moved to her next assignment at the 19th AF unit commander support staff as a Personnel Program Technician for one year working before volunteering to come here.
