What advice would you give students about choosing a university?

Find a school that makes you feel welcome, like a home away from home. I would also encourage you to find a place that fits you and your interests and goals. Ask questions and get all the information you can to make the best decision for you!

Why did you decide to attend ASU?

From the moment I toured campus and visited with the professors in the Agriculture Department, I knew this was where I wanted to be. Not only did Angelo State offer amazing scholarship opportunities and classes related to my interests, but it also immediately felt like a second home. I was able to make life-long friends, get an excellent education, and graduate completely debt-free.

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is the MIR Ranch. I love the hands-on learning opportunities through classes, labs, and being a student worker that directly applies to future careers within the agriculture industry.

What do you like about being an admissions counselor?

I love having the opportunity to share my knowledge and personal experiences with prospective students. It’s exciting getting to help them through the admissions process and next steps in their educational journey!
