Psalm 91
(READ EVERY DAY FOR PROTECTION)
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty
I will say of the Lore “He is my Refuge and my fortress;
Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
She shall cover you with his feather
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day
Nor the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your habitation,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For he shall give his angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
They shall bear you up in their hands,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
Because he has sent his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon me and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him,
And show him My salvation.

16 June 2003
Today started like any other day. 0600 wake up and the heat already on the rise. Today, we went to a town that hasn’t seen American troops in their streets. the greeting was a warm one. Children came from all over to see us and to see if we would give anything out. I’m not too happy about going into a town and setting up police and other forces. They can always backfire. I received mail today. Boy it was great to here from Lisa and to here how she is doing back home. Can’t wait to get home.
Tonight we go on another mission this time is to see if we can draw fire from the enemy. I’m confident in my team and should we come under attack we should be fine we’re trained and ready. I say my prayers and hope for the best. I trust my leadership to the fullest.

Today was a good day other than the heat. We ended up in the same town again ABU SIDA. Nice lil’ town w/ big problems. We continued to pull security while the Mech unit continued to clean up the police station. That lasted until around 12:30 then we came back to the AA. I recieved a letter from my aunt on my dads side today (Aunt Judy). Its nice to hear from her & Pete again.
