A poem written by Glenn Allison about his experiences in Vietnam
Night
The night was silent.
Black was painted onto the sky
No, movement disturbed the silence of the soul.
Eyes if mind see the dark.
See my protection in the figures of the night.
No moon is here to light our path.
No dawn is here to secure our safety.
This is the night.
