This collection includes photos from Armstrong’s time serving in the Navy during World War II as well as a few tokens he collected.

Served in: World War IIGarlend Armstrong was born in Hollis, Oklahoma, but grew up around Little Field, Texas. His family bought a ranch in Granbury, Texas around the time he started 1st grade. He lived the rest of his school years in the Granbury area and was part of a program focused on increasing patriotism within in his high school. Armstrong volunteered for the Navy and was sent to boot camp after his graduation. He was stationed in the Pacific once he’d completed his training.
