Interview with Robert Jensen

In this interview conducted in Pecos, Mr. Jensen reflects on his experiences as a military police sergeant in Panama in the 1980s. He discusses his experiences working with locals and also reads a poem that he wrote about being under fire.

    Robert Jensen was born in Chicago, Illinois. He initially joined the U.S. Army Military Police Corps in 1973. He left active duty for a year and a half in 1976, though he continued to work with the reserves in Chicago. He returned to active duty in February of 1978. He deployed to Panama, and while there he met and married his wife. He retired from the Army in May of 1992. After retiring, he moved to Pecos, Texas to continue his work in corrections.
