Tourism and Cross-Cultural Communication: Hawaii and Japan

Explore “Tourism and Cross-Cultural Communication” at the heartland of global interactions and inter-cultural exchanges. This program will highlight how communication/rhetoric plays a pivotal role in tourism, while you travel through the host cities that include Honolulu and Tokyo, the home of the 2021 Summer Olympics.

Study in two cities that are known global tourist destinations. Through experiences on various field trips and interacting with various stakeholders in tourism (academics, professionals and practitioners from the tourism industry, government sectors, and the workers unions), you will gain hands-on experience in global tourism and cross-cultural communication.
