ASU Brass Concert at Holy Angels
Angelo State University 's brass ensembles and Brass Choir will perform a special public concert Thursday, Nov. 9, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 2202 Rutgers St.
The "Night of Brass" concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Holy Angels sanctuary and is open free to the public. The ASU Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba-Euphonium and Horn Ensembles will perform along with the Brass Choir. The program will feature musical compositions by such composers as Beethoven, Gershwin, Haydn and several others.
More than 20 ASU brass students will participate in the concert. The Trumpet Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. John Irish, associate professor of music. The Brass Choir is directed by Edward Surface, assistant professor of music.
