  • Flu Vaccine

The Flu Vaccine is available at the clinic and it is free to ASU students that have paid the Medical Services Fee.

Shannon Clinic is providing the four strain vaccine.

Myth: You don’t need a flu shot every year.

Fact: The types of flu viruses circulating in the air — and the vaccine that’s prepared — can vary from year to year. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that adults, including moms-to-be, and children ages 6 months and older get a flu vaccine every year.

Myth: The flu shot can give you the flu.

Fact: The fragments of virus found in the flu shot are inactivated, which means they can’t make you sick. Some people run low-grade fevers, feel achy or develop soreness near the injection site after vaccination. Developing these side effects doesn’t mean you have the flu.

For Clinic Access: Paying the Medical Services Fee grants ASU students access to all services offered through the Campus Clinic. All students attending ASU full time will pay the Medical Services Fee and will have access to all Clinic Services as described within this website.

Distance Learning Students are still able to pay the Medical Services Fee at the Student Accounts/Bursar’s Office and be granted full access to the services of the Clinic. Please do not go to the clinic to pay the Medical Services Fee, this is done at the Student Accounts/Bursar’s Office. When going to the Clinic, please have your receipt generated for paying the Medical Services Fee available (this will insure immediate service access).

The Student Accounts/Bursar’s Office is located in the Mayer Administration Building. Phone number is 325-942-2008.

    Payment Information

Your ASU OneCard is required to access all services. ASU Students who have paid their Medical Services Fee must present their ASU OneCard at the Campus Clinic at the time of check-in.

For the Urgent Care locations off-campus, Students must present their ASU OneCard, their Insurance card (if they have insurance, ASU will pay their Co-Pay and the student will not be charged for the basic visit) and a state or federal photo ID. Clinic services include diagnostic services and treatments appropriate on an episodic, outpatient basis. Counseling, examination, diagnosis and consultation services are available at no additional charge. However, some fees do apply for injections or other medications.

Students are responsible for the costs of lab work, X-rays, prescription drugs and referrals. Emergency Room services are not included and all services beyond routine treatment currently given at the campus location are not covered by the Medical Services Fee and will be charged to the student at the time of service.

  • Using TRICARE Insurance for Military ID Card Holders
