New RamCat Features

My RamCat ;encompasses a number of features that allow for easier and more efficient use of the online catalog by saving important patron-specified information and automating certain catalog tasks.
My RamCat is available to all authorized Library catalog users who have logged into RamCat, and consists of the following functionalities:

My Patron Information - The Patron Information window displays information about you, including your personal information, items checked out, request information, and fines and fees accrued. To access this information you must supply your patron barcode and last name in the Login screen.

My Search Preferences - This feature allows you to store search preferences (in the online catalog) to be used as default settings each time you use RamCat.

My Saved Searches - This feature allows you to save up to 25 search queries to run on command.

Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) - This feature, used in conjunction with Saved Searches, allows you to have saved searches performed automatically at specified intervals (days/weeks), and the results emailed to you.

My Bookbag - This feature allows you to save bibliographic records from various search results for later viewing, editing and printing in different formats.

Placing Holds and Recalls - Based on your Library borrowing privileges, you now have the option of placing holds and/or recalls online for items retrieved from RamCat. Recalls can only be placed for items that are checked out. Holds and recalls can be made only from an item’s “Brief View” display in RamCat. In addition, you must be logged into RamCat before you can place a hold or recall.
