COVID-19 Grade Changes
A student who can demonstrate a negative impact on their academic performance due to the COVID-19 pandemic will have an opportunity to submit an application to have a grade in most undergraduate courses substituted by a designation of credit (CR) or no credit (NC). This process will be in place for the 2020 spring semester only. Once a student has chosen a grade substitution, the decision is final and cannot be reversed.
More information is available on the Grade Substitution Procedure.
The application deadline for students who graduated in May has passed. For non-graduating students, the deadline will be 5 p.m., June 1, 2020.

Effective fall 2016, undergraduate transferable coursework must be a grade of “D” or better to qualify for credit toward your ASU degree plan requirements, except in degrees that have specific grade requirements that apply to all students.
Transfer coursework will continue to include a transfer GPA and an overall cumulative GPA that will be used only for purposes specific to admissions (including admission to some programs), financial aid, and reporting.
Calculation of the institutional GPA, for purposes of determining academic standing will continue to be based on grades earned at Angelo State University.
