BizPitch Student Business Competition
Record your BizPitch video to win CASH PRIZES.
The purpose of the BizPitch student business competition is to promote and foster student entrepreneurship at ASU. The competition is co-coordinated between the ASU Small Business Development Center (lead) and the Norris-Vincent College of Business. BizPitch provides student learning opportunities through interaction with ASU SBDC business advisors and ASU alumni who are successful in business.
Five Finalists (individuals or up to a four-person team) will be selected from the applications received. The Finalists will make a live in-person 8 minute presentation to a team of judges who are ASU alum and successful in business. The judges will ask questions of each finalist for 5 minutes. Prizes will be awarded the same evening. The live in-person presentations will be open to the public.
The awarded cash prizes are considered as seed money for these specific startups, but also as investments in the university’s overall ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
The team that wins first place in the BizPitch competition will also be awarded a free 6 month rental lease at the Business Factory valued at over $1700.00 (subject to meeting requirements such as a background check etc.).
The BizPitch student competition is open to currently enrolled Angelo State University students who are taking 6 hours or more as an undergraduate student or 3 hours or more as a graduate student.
Up to four person-teams are allowed. Teams are encouraged but not required. BizPitch is open to students in all academic disciplines.
