Carr Academic Transfer Scholarships have specific renewal requirements. Please review the Renewal Requirements page for more information about disbursements, dropping classes, renewal requirements, and reinstatement.
Dropping Classes & Withdrawing
Students who drop below 12 hours on or before the university’s census date (12th class day of a regular semester) will have their Carr Academic Scholarship disbursement prorated, which may create a balance due to the university.
Students who withdraw may be required to reapply to the university. Students who have to reapply are no longer eligible for their Carr Academic Scholarship. Students who decided to ‘sit out’ for a long semester (fall or spring) will have to reapply for the university making them ineligible for their Carr Academic Scholarship.
The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) scholarship is for junior college transfer students who are members in good standing of PTK. Qualified candidates may be eligible to receive a $1,000 award for two years as long as the students are meeting the PTK renewal requirements.
Applicants must submit a letter from their current PTK advisor stating the student is a member in good standing to the ASU Scholarship Programs Office. The letter must be received by the Scholarship Programs Office prior to the first class day of the semester the student will be attending.
PTK Scholarships are only awarded to students that have not received a baccalaureate degree.
Students must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) at ASU for the scholarship to apply to their bills.
