Robbery Reported Close to Campus
On Sunday, November 26, 2006, at approximately 9:00PM, an armed robbery occurred at the Happy Shack, 1807 S. Lincoln. The suspect entered the business and demanded money. The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash. During the robbery, the suspect assaulted the clerk and then forced the clerk to open the register. According to the clerk, the suspect had a handgun on his person.

Bicycle Thefts On Campus
Four bicycle thefts have been reported to University Police since November 21, 2006. Several of the bikes were taken by cutting the cable locks. Students are urged to make sure their bikes are properly secured when left unattended. Cable type locks are easily defeated. Police suggest the use of U locks to better protect themselves against theft.
