Creating Content for Social Media

Be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time creating interesting content for your account(s). It’s important to know how to engage your audience through your writing and your posts.

• Use a conversational tone.

  Talk directly to your audience to engage them in your content.

• Be concise.

  Keep your writing short, but descriptive to keep your audience’s attention.

• Be authentic.

  Share meaningful, real-world stories and examples.

• Post content that is unique, relevant, and engaging.

   Ask questions, tell stories, or give testimonials in your posts.

• Post often.

  Depending on the platform, you should be posting at least 1-2 times a week.

• Do not reuse the same content.

  Align your message with the platform you are using.

• Social media is forever.

  Understand that everything you post is public, permanent and retrievable.
