Learn more about video captions and how to use them on social media.
What Are Video Captions?
When using videos, you must provide captions of the audio so that those who are hard of hearing, without hearing, or are non-native speakers can understand the content. 90% of Angelo State followers watch videos with the sound off. Captions help everyone engage with content.
Video captions can be either closed captions (where a user can turn them on or off) or open captions (where the text is embedded into the video and cannot be turned on or off).
