Gary L. Taylor retired in San Angelo, Texas out of Goodfellow Air Force base. His long military career began with the Army National Guard when he was 16 years old before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He recounts his time in numerous locations including Phan Rang where he worked as a civil engineer with the 554 Red Horse Squadron during the Vietnam War. He also served in Greenland, Thailand, Japan, and Germany as well as several bases in the US.
